Use a mild, citric acid-based cleaner applied to a cloth (not directly on the tap) to remove limescale, then rinse thoroughly with clean water and dry with a soft cloth
Clean the aerator periodically by soaking it in warm water with a little cleaning agent to prevent buildup and maintain smooth water flow.
